My payment's going to exist late this month, I don't desire it to be... but quite honestly I accept no existent choice in the thing.

I've recently had to accept an unexpected hour cutting and pay cutting at work and take been struggling to get my bills and hire paid.. while yet being able to eat.

This is no exaggeration.. I've currently got shut off notices from both the water visitor and the electrical visitor and literally survived on nothing but potato fries 4 out of the vii days last week.

This isn't like me, but sometimes life throws y'all curveballs and yous simply have to make do... I but know I'm struggling to pay all my bills... got my gas caught upwards terminal week.. will get electric and water caught upwardly this calendar week.

My main reasoning for wondering nigh this is as follows. As luck would take it, another position opened upwardly at work.... I've got senority on most everyone and this new position is all but mine.

I'g going to go back to making a decent little salary and getting 40 hours a week again, but information technology probable won't actually take place until the week afterward next.

My Direc TV neb is due this weekend, but I won't be able to pay it until next weekend if I'chiliad lucky... only more than likely the weekend subsequently.

Over again I stress I'g not some deadbeat and I unremarkably practice pay my bills on time, have but been going through a tough period.

How likely is DirecTV to turn my service off if payment's a week or two tardily? I empathise I will likely have late charges and I'm perfectly fine with them... tough menses in my life or not, that's not DirecTv's fault.

I just hope they don't pull my service altogether... and wasn't sure how quick of a claw they had.

I believe there is also a identify on their website to let them know yous will exist late, the reason why, & when they tin look payment. You would patently demand to setup your online account with them first which is free, easy & fast.

Yes y'all can as well do that.. :)

When do you receive y'all new bill every month? In my case it is the 2nd. Ii months agone I unintentionally forgot to pay my bill. When my new bill came out on the 2d and it said on line specifically when your service will be shut off for not-payment. You lot can apply for an extension online likewise.

Let me say it if no one else volition.
Cancel your goggle box bill you don't need information technology. I honey my HDTV merely if I were teatering on being expressionless broke I would watch hulu or listen to the radio. I am sure you don't accept a family or lord forbid kids because I am sure y'all already would have cutting the not essentials. Do it now.
Exercise y'all not have any savings. If the answer is NO, cancel D* and utilise that money to starting time saving. If you are not a deadbeat at present you will be in the future without savings.
Sorry, I may exist an @$$ but that doesn't make it NOT truthful.

only append your account untill you can pay for it. no need for late fees or for it to be cut off. they permit you to suspend for up to half-dozen months.

Deplorable but I check my Credit report monthly, and I've not seen 1 Entry from Directv or Dishnetwork in my credit study. If your score is dropping like a stone, maybe yous should pay the outstanding Balance you lot had for years with D*. When they submit yous to a collection agency, thats when your credit score get wacked.

exactly.. ;)

I once missed a month payment for D* because USPS lost my check and I had to abolish it...

But um, this isn't related to this topic..

but suspend your account untill you tin can pay for it. no demand for belatedly fees or for it to exist cutting off. they allow you to append for up to half-dozen months.

This would not be an selection in the OP'due south example.

D*'s "How to put your DIRECTV® Service on hold" folio:

Requirements for putting your service on hold

  • Nil balance on your bill

Then you place your account on concord until the beak is paid in full anyway.

I once missed a calendar month payment for D* considering USPS lost my bank check and I had to abolish it...

But um, this isn't related to this topic..

I in one case missed a payment because my domestic dog ate the check. :D
Seriously though if one D* bill is all that stood between me being bankrupt I would cancel and start putting that coin in savings and then when life kicks me in the basics once again, I'd be prepare.

The OP did not say he's broke, he said he'southward irresolute job titles and will be fine in a few weeks.

My suggestion is for him to pay a partial beak, equally much as he can handle at this time and take hold of up when your stable again.

Virtually companies will not close you off if you are at to the lowest degree making partial payments.

Isn't your D* bill paid a calendar month in advance, so if he paid this month (in March) he'southward good thru the next month anyways ?

The OP did not say he'southward bankrupt, he said he's changing job titles and will be fine in a few weeks.

The poster said he could not pay his Television receiver neb.
Once more the facts are: He has not got enough on hand or in savings to cover a Television receiver bill.

He is doing only fine.
No need to salvage that money each month, maybe he should add together a couple of premiums since he obviously isn't broke.

The affiche said he could not pay his Television set nib.
Once again the facts are: He has non got enough on hand or in savings to comprehend a Telly bill.

He is doing only fine.
No demand to save that money each calendar month, peradventure he should add a couple of premiums since he plain isn't broke.

Appreciate the aid from everyone (yous included in your two previous replys) what I don't capeesh is the sarcastic tone in this particular one.

As stated earlier in the thread past both myself and others, I'thou going to be back to making my regular bacon in less than two weeks. But going through a thankfully curt lived rough patch, given this current economic situation.. information technology'southward going to be happening to a lot of people... some much longer than what I had to deal with.

Practice I have any savings? Nope non really... I've never been skilful with money and even when I was making a decent salary, like I will be again soon.. I never saved anything. This isn't abnormal in anyhow, as this Country in general tends to live paycheck to paycheck and could larn a thing or two about saving coin.

This has taught me a valuable lesson and I will relieve and be prepared, should this sort of matter happen again.

To answer a previous concern from before in the thread, no I don't have kids.. if I did I would have close off The DirecTV and the net when this first started taking place.

Capeesh the help from everyone (you included in your 2 previous replys) what I don't appreciate is the sarcastic tone in this particular one.

The tone was directed to the poster that was implying I was making upwards facts.

As stated earlier in the thread past both myself and others, I'thou going to be back to making my regular salary in less than two weeks. Just going through a thankfully short lived rough patch, given this current economic situation.. it's going to be happening to a lot of people... some much longer than what I had to deal with.

I more than feel for y'all and my friends that have been effected by the economy, sincerely. Still yous are relying on a steady income that is going to exist the aforementioned equally what you lot were living pay bank check, to pay check on. The description of them cut your pay and hours sounds similar you are hourly non salary which hurts a lot more when missing a 24-hour interval because your sick or any other reason.

Do I accept any savings? Nope not really... I've never been practiced with money and fifty-fifty when I was making a decent salary, like I volition exist again soon.. I never saved anything. This isn't abnormal in anyway, as this Country in general tends to live paycheck to paycheck and could acquire a thing or two near saving money.

Because there are others in your "no savings" gunkhole doesn't make information technology correct correct. (This statement is courtesy of Mom and Dad :))
Fifty-fifty still the fact that yous have no savings means you need to salve a lot more than aggressively now since you didn't save any before. In that location is an amount yous should have in savings today depending on your age and your lifestyle. Yous have to catchup to that point equally fast every bit yous can and I still say D* is a good place to start.

This has taught me a valuable lesson and I will salve and be prepared, should this sort of thing happen again.

Glad to hear you empathize the position you are in.
I can't stress plenty, since you are starting from zero; saving a few dollars a week isn't going to do information technology.

To answer a previous concern from earlier in the thread, no I don't accept kids.. if I did I would take shut off The DirecTV and the net when this kickoff started taking place.
